Jade Robbins released her sophomore album Heart Tower on February 4th, 2024. This new album explores being on the precipice, both through the transition into adulthood and through grappling with the fragility of life on earth. Jade currently performs as a solo artist in small venues around New Orleans. Here you can find her debuting her new songs and smiling a lot.
Jade was raised in the small town of Durango Colorado, and fell in love with songwriting as a child. Inspired by the freedom and solace she found in nature, and the cycles of life so violent and yet forgiving, Jade began to dedicate herself to creating feverishly. She processed her intense emotions through lyrical exploration, and it shaped her in every way. She began gigging professionally at 14, and continued to play in bars and small stages around her small town throughout high school, and later extended to neighboring towns to play festivals. These towns included Telluride and Dolores CO. When she reached graduation, the Covid Virus put a stop to her gigging in Colorado. During the months that she was in lockdown, she recorded her first album titled, "The Call". This album is a Lo-Fi, amateur dive into adolescence, but also explores mature themes. She grapples with existentialism, first heartbreaks, and complacency. After this release, she moved to New Orleans to begin her education, studying music production, performance, and management. You can find her gigging in New Orleans as a solo artist, and slipping into little open mic nights to share and listen. She released her second album, "Heart Tower" in 2024. This album is much more experimental, both instrumentally and lyrically. Recorded in the homes of her loved ones and in her bed, this album is the way Jade bears her deepest fears and dreams to the world. With her songwriting and intimate performances, Jade hopes to reach an audience that is seeking connection and truth.
